Wheel horse 310 8

I bought my 310-8 in 1987 new. It has been a great lawn tractor and very reliable. I just replaced the belts last year unbelievable. This year I started to use it and noticed it was not running as usual. After inspecting it I noticed the main throttle linkage shaft is worn completely out. So I need a new carburetor.

I have a 42" rear discharge deck, and the 310 does a good job with it. save yourself a lot of greif and try and get a deck in good condition. you will need a mule drive also, if you don't already have one. my experience has been that you will probably have to spend $175-250 to get a good deck and mule drive.

Bypass the PTO switch. If that doesn't fix it, bypass the clutch switch. Once you have determined which switch is the culprit, hook the other switch back up and make sure it still works.
