5G Radio Access Network (RAN) heavily relies on edge computational resources to implement disaggregated baseband processing units, i.e., the gNB-Distributed Unit (gNB-DU) and gNB-Central Unit (gNB-CU). To improve resource utilization, multiple gNB-vDUs are typically connected to fewer active gNB-vCU pools (Xiao et al., 2018).
