I tested the RD/BL wire at the fuse panel and it shows 12 volts when key turned on then drops to 0. I switched relays and no change. Tested wiring at the fuse panel for the EFI relay. I have a 2002 Sportsman 500 HO. My current issue is no spark at all. None with turning the key or by pulling the pull start. Removing the cutoff wire doesn’t change anything. New plug, new plug cap, wire, ignition coil, tried different CDI, still no change., Thanks Elkbow, that info was a tremendous help. I have a 2014 570 EFI Ranger Crew .Although my problem was not the ground as you spoke about in your post but it led me to checking all that out which checked out all good, but I did pull the spark plug wire out of the cylinder head to see if there was a problem there which it was not or didn't …, no spark Cleaned the coils and rebolted on, don't think they need to be grounded as there is an plastic isolation block that holds them off the frame. Still no spark. After looking again I'm not sure I ever found the ECU, the only thing I can find under the hood and on the passenger side is the voltage regulator (I think).
