I think you can get a brand new 3.3 for under $4000. I am in the middle of a Mercedes 5cyl turbo diesel swap. Return it to the factory position and don't adjust it further than 1/2 turn. If the pump has not been modified, you have engine mechanical issues or the pump is installed with incorrect timing. I haven't adjusted anything.
