Crimp Adjustment with MEC 600 Jr. I've managed to confuse myself again. I'm loading 7/8 oz. 7.5 shot in both AA HS and Rem hulls. I use CB1100-12 wads in the Rems and DRA12 Pink in the AA HS with 18.5 gr. of Clays over Fio 616 primers. The Rems load and crimp great, but the AA HS have the typical bulge that occurs when the stack is too tall.
If I were you, I'd consider the Dilloon Eliminator beam scale. Made by O'Haus, like all the other quality scales and sells for around $60. And as far as whether or not you made a good purchase on your MEC 600 Mk5, I'd have to say you did good. They sell new for around $145 + tax or shipping. And it is a great machine.

410 resizing on MEC 600 Jr. I seem to have an excessive amount of brass shavings from my AA hulls when I run them through the resizing ring on the MEC 600. The entire circumference seems to be affected by the resizing process. The cloth acts as a cushion making it easy to grab a primer. Complete a shell, grab a primer, drop it in, grab a hull and take off. A .410 shotgun that has a very wide open chamber or very tight chamber will cause the shell to expand or shrink and it will burn the pedals/crimp at the end of the shell.
