They switched to a shorter barrel. My marlin was made around the time they were phasing them in so My marlin has a longer barrel with the shorter tube. If you compare an older model 60 to a newer one the barrel is a few inches shorter. I cant rembember the exact diffrence in lenght but its a couple inches atleast but I think its about 4 inch ...

My marlin was made around the time they were phasing them in so My marlin has a longer barrel with the shorter tube. If you compare an older model 60 to a newer one the barrel is a few inches shorter. I cant rembember the exact diffrence in lenght but its a couple inches atleast but I think its about 4 inch ...
