Lost to ages skyrim

So I recently started playing skyrim again and am trying to work through some of the DLC's, but I've hit a brick wall with the quest Lost to the Ages. Reading the book that is supposed to start the quest doesn't work, the journal is not on the ghost lady's body, and I can't force the quest along with any console commands (I tried all of the ones Google gave me).

This mod adds a journal to the Aetherium Forge area written by Katria after her and the Dragonborn part ways at the end of the Lost to the Ages quest. Upon reading the diary, Katria is re-summoned to the forge room as a recruitable, fully-voiced follower.
