How to connect xfi pod

Our XFi pod connects fine with wifi, but we have no internet through ethernet. My desktop cannot be moved closer to the pod, and I do not get a stable signal through the wall, which mean I need to run ethernet from the pod to the desktop to get a good connection. This is a new problem. Ethernet from the pod was working fine for months.
