Last year I became the proud owner of a new-to-me 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid and I love it! Until today. I got the "Stop Safely NOW" message this morning, just as I was pulling into a parking space to drop off my daughter at school. 20 minutes later, the car started up fine, the message was gone & warning light was off, so I drove to work. I’ve been getting this message for a while now but it would mostly occur in the summer when my car would overheat. Over the past summer I seemed to have gotten the issue fixed as the wiring was all over the place and was causing the hybrid battery to over heat and automatically shut the engine off either while idle or driving.
