The L5p was a very small exhaust side configuration, small up pipes, small exhaust turbo vanes, etc. So I am guessing the ECM was seeing some very high EGT’s and cut power to keep from melting pistons. 2018 L5P 10.1 MPG. I recently purchased a used 2018 Sierra 2500 duramax and the average MPG is 10.1. Just thought that seems low I thought they usually average around 13-16 mph. Single filter L5P aftermarket units the WIF sensor is on the 'clean' side of the filter....if the water light comes on then it's too late.
