If you have a pin shear off. (you will know it immediately). Do not drive the truck. Shut it off as soon as possible. Have it towed. Continuing to drive the truck wil allow the balancer to slip on the crank and it can play hell on the nose of the crank and the inside of the balancer.

Put a pry bar in behind the balancer and see if it wiggle or moves around. I just got done with an engine for a guy that he broke the crank on- would start and idle fine, had throttle until about 2200rpm and then would start cutting out and running erratic. Flip the engine, oil pans off, pop all the rod caps off and push the pistons up in the cylinders, pop the main caps off. Putting it back together is tricky, but still possible. It could be done but the block should be align honed after breaking a crank.
