It all depends on whether allowing or disallowing one thing or another is going to unbalance the game by making the bladesinger too powerful. Bladesinging and barbarian don't mix super well but there are advantages. Usually, Barbs have intelligence as their dump stat because it doesn't help them much, but bladesinging is intelligence based. Personally I think a powerful combo is Armorer Artificer and Bladesinger combo.
