3 cm dilated at 39 weeks how much longer

I was 2 cm dilated and effacing with my daughter at 30 weeks. By 36 weeks I was 3 cm dilated, mushy cervix and effaced at 50%. At 39 weeks I was effaced and dilated to 4 cm. I ended up being induced. You can be dilated for a long time without delivering early. Good luck.
