Posted July 1, 2004. hood will clear fine. the charger will work with quite a few modes to the exhaust and otehr things on the 1mz-fe for 94-96. 97 will not work without a new intake manifold and head for the non vvt., People saying a 1mz will pop at 7 psi are probably refering to the trd (piece of crap) supercharger that blows nothing but hot air past 6 psi, that will pop an engine fast. I don't know what that charger puts out at 10psi on a 1mz but it should be able to hold 300bhp, the tranny is the real issue unless you get a shift kit.
